All About Us
What Sets Us Apart
My military experience coupled with 9 years of service in the public education system has exposed me to the devastating struggles the family unit faces. Therefore, my passion is building collaborative counseling relationships to restore and strengthen this vital network.
My theoretical orientation is Cognitive-Behavioral Theory (CBT) and Solution-Focused Based Therapy (SFBT). Both approaches focus on solutions to empower individuals to improve their quality of life. The human mind is extremely complex. Therefore, an eclectic approach is often needed. CBT and SFBT are approaches that are ideal for integrating with other approaches as needed. My mission is to provide a safe, judgmental free, supportive environment in which individuals can heal.
My degrees include a Bachelor of Science in Occupational Education from Wayland Baptist University, Master of Arts in Special Education from Phoenix University, Master of Arts in Human Services Counseling (Marriage and Family) from Liberty University, and Educational Specialist Degree in Teaching and Learning from Liberty University.
